Beef Teriyaki Skewers

How to Make It

Put the soy sauce, orange juice, ginger, garlic and chilli flakes in a saucepan with 100ml cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for 4-5 minutes until reduced. Remove from the heat and pour into a shallow bowl to cool.

Place the beef onto 4 metal skewers. Dip them in the marinade and turn until well coated. Cover with cling film and marinate for 30 minutes

Heat the grill to high and cook the skewers on a foil lined baking tray for 5 minutes each side. Brush with more marinade if necessary.

While the beef is cooking, cook the rice in the microwave as instructed on the packet.

Serve the skewers with rice and salad.


  • 300g sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 15g fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp chilli flakes
  • 250g wholegrain microwave rice
  • Side salad to serve
