Beef Stroganoff

How to Make It

    Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook the onion for 10 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic and butter and cook for another 2 minutes.

    Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes until they have softened. Season with salt and pepper and set aside in a bowl.

    In another bowl, combine the flour with salt and pepper and coat the sliced fillet steak. Add the steak to the pan over a medium heat and fry for 3-4 minutes until cooked.

    Tip the mushroom mixture back into the pan and stir. Next, whisk the creme fraiche, mustard and beef stock together then pour into the pan.

    Cook for 5 minutes. Whilst the beef is cooking, warm up the rice in the microwave as instructed on the packet, then serve.

  • 250g fillet steak, sliced
  • 125g mushrooms, sliced
  • 250g microwave rice
  • 75g creme fraiche
  • 50ml beef stock
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 tsp english mustard
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
