Teriyaki Tofu and Rice

How to Make It

Add the soy sauce, ginger and honey to a saucepan along with 30ml of water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes then set aside.

Cut the tofu into thick slices and coat along with the spring onions in sunflower oil. Cook in a griddle pan on a high heat for 4 minutes each side.

Whilst the tofu is cooking, follow the instructions on the rice packet and cook in the microwave.

Pour the rice onto a plate and top with the tofu, then drizzle over the teriyaki sauce and serve.

Ingredients

  • 200g firm tofu
  • 125g microwave wholegrain rice
  • 25ml soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 spring onions, trimmed
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
